Sharita Sivels, LCPC

Sharita attended Frostburg State University, where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Psychology and has two associates degrees in Sociology and Leadership Studies. Following graduation, she returned to Frostburg State University as a graduate student, where she obtained her Master of Counseling Psychology degree in 2015. Over the course of years, Sharita has worked with clients from diverse populations ranging from 3 years old to 70 years old.

Sharita has experience working with clients struggling with Substance Abuse, ADHD, Adjustment Disorders, Anger Management, Anxiety Disorders, Conduct Disorders, Depression, Eating Disorders, Mood Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders, Panic Disorders, Parenting issues, Physical abuse/trauma, Post traumatic Stress, and Sexual abuse/trauma. Also, she has worked not only with individuals, but groups, families, and couples as well.


Sharita’s practice modality is client-focused and holistic. She believes that all aspects of a person’s life are connected, which all effect ones’ mental state. Her approach to each client is different, yet consist of a combination of interpersonal, behavior modification, motivational interviewing, relaxation techniques, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
