Prior to working at Cedar Ridge, Maegan worked in Private Practice in Pittsburgh for 4 years. Before that, she worked in both inpatient and outpatient programs for individuals with dual diagnosis. She also teaches various courses in psychology and counseling to both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Robert Morris University.
She takes a person-centered and integrated approach as she understands every individual is unique and thus their treatment should reflect their specific needs. Treatment approaces utilized include, but are not limited to: IFS, Trauma Informed, Attachment, Gestalt, CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Strengths Based, and Emotionally Focused.
Her clinical experience includes: ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety, Attachment, Behavior Issues, Bipolar, Depression, Eating Disorders, Grief and Loss, Relationships, PTSD, Stress, and Self-Esteem.
On a personal note, Maegan has recently relocated to Maryland after living in Pittsburgh for 12 years. She is licensed in both MD and PA, broadening the scope of patients she can reach. In her free time, you can find her running marathons, fishing, painting, and kayaking.
